REVIEWS FROM FANS

I’m reading your book Miranda and Starlight. I’m twelve years old. My aunt just got me a new horse so I can relate to your story. I think that It’s very neat that the book takes place in Montana because I live in Wyoming. the story is very good and I’m enjoying it. I’m on chapter 5 and I think that someones going to be caught!   --Emma, age 12, Wyoming

“Dear Ms. Hill,  I read your book Miranda and Starlight and I really enjoyed it. It was full of life. I felt like I was there watching it all happen. I can’t wait to read Starlight’s Courage.   Sincerely,   Jessica, Age 8

Miranda and Starlight is a wonderfully told story that young readers should definately read. I didn’t want to put it down as I read about Miranda’s experiences.    --Amanda

This fall I got really sick with a serious virus and shingles and I had to stay out of school for two months.  Prima and reading and writing stories were the only thing that kept me going at times when I felt so down.  That was also the time when I learned about your books from my friend’s little sister Miranda Ashland.  I loved your books because I always read all horse stories but yours were better than most.  Your series was more sophisticated (both in writing and in character development) than most.  I liked specifically how you give the Miranda and the characters challenges that don’t have very obvious solutions.  Its more like real life, not all tied up in bow.  It makes me want to keep reading them and I think they will make a very good movie.—Celeste , Age 13, Saratoga, CA

Before I read Miranda and Starlight, I hated reading. Your books have changed my life. Last night I read Starlight’s Shooting Star for three hours and it felt like five minutes. You have a gift, and never stop writing books. — Katie, age 11, Dallas TX

I got the book Starlight, Star Bright. It is my favorite so far. My brother hates horses, but Loves your books, so I think you made a great accomplishment. I want you to write ten billion books. I did a report on Miranda and Starlight and got an A+. Thank you sooooooo much for the books. I’m looking forward to reading your future books. — Jessica, age 9, Massachusettes

I want to write and tell you how much I love your Starlight books. I’m 13 years old and have been riding since I was born. I can really relate to Miranda. I am going through the same things that she has with friends. I can’t wait for more of your books. — Brooke,, Age 13, UT

I love the book! I can't wait till I read, "Starlight's Courage." Audrey, Age 9, Montana

I absolutely loved your 6th book.  That book really maked you read.  I was on the page 37 when I had to go on the bus route with my mom because she’s the driver, and when she finished the bus route I was on page 67 or somewhere in the 60’s.  You are probably the best writer in America!  I am being honest.  For our book project we have to make a puppet of the main character and have her or she tell about the story to 3-5 minutes.  Of course I did your book, Starlight Comes Home, I am working on the puppet.  I can’t believe Mr.Taylor dies in it.  I hope you have a great Valentines Day!  Your Friend,  Kailey, age 11, Montana

I just finished reading the 6th book. I wish that there was at least one more book, because I love to read Miranda and Starlight. -- Haley, Montana.

I fell in love with the Starlight series and couldn't stop. Whyen I read the last book I was so mad because I wanted more. The books were great during the sad part, I cried, and durring the happy parts I cheered. When I read the books I felt I was there. I have never felt that before. Your books are inspiring. -- Hayden

I am writing to tell you how much I liked your book, "miranda and Starlight." I love horses and this is the best horse book I've ever read. Miranda seems like a girl I'd like to know and be friends with. I am home schooled and Mom is getting mthe next two books for me to use in my reading class. My book will always be one of my treasures. Sincerely, Olivia

This (Starlight Comes Home) is the best book in the series!!! It deals with real problems we kids face. The ending is suprising and very good. This book tells that nomatter how bad things get you can always get through them. --D’Jean age 12, Montana
